The first FUZZ BLITZ LOUNGE of the year was a true joy: great music, smooth tournament flow, strong and fun performances across all classes, and a social, loungy atmosphere that truly captured what FUZZSJAKK is about.t
With 39 participants and an average rating of 942, the room was filled with a healthy mix of beginners, challengers, and experienced players — exactly how we want it.
The atmosphere of the evening wouldn’t have been the same without the music.
Jonas S delivered a gold-standard set of organic deep house that blended seamlessly into the room — calm, focused, and alive without ever distracting from the games. The music helped players stay present and locked in, and gained a lot of praise, both by players and spectators.
In FUZZ BLITZ LOUNGE, the DJ isn’t background noise — he’s the Vibe Architect.
From the first round to the last, everything ran seamlessly.
The FUZZBETA web app delivered a flawless tournament experience.
Instant pairings. Player-registered results. Live standings. Dedicated tables for the BEGINNER-class — all updating in real time.
Zero issues. Zero delays. Pure flow.
Several BEGINNERS finished with 6 points, many of them fighting at the top tables all evening — even against higher-rated Challengers and Experts. Names like Magnus Hallan, Gøran Sletvik, Aksel Skagestad Størdal and Kristian Mikkelsen showed that when the setup is right, Beginners don’t just join — they compete, with music in the background and something good to drink on the opposite hand.
Line Tangen (1180) vs Rueben Smith (1709)
Round 3
In Round 3, Line Tangen (1180) faced Rueben Smith (1709) — a 529-point rating gap.
CHALLENGER vs EXPERT.
Rueben Smith, winner of the previous FUZZ BLITZ LOUNGE at Trondheim Spektrum with 7/8 points in a field of 43, was a big favourite — but Line Tangen pulled off a giant-slayer.
Line Tangen debuted with her first ever FUZZSJAKK tournament, and beating the reigning champion at FUZZ BLITZ LOUNGE – Trondheim Spektrum, is something to be really proud of.
Victoria Agdestein (400) vs Trond Remøy-Moen (973)
Round 7
Another moment that deserves special recognition came later in the night.
With a 573-point rating gap, Victoria Agdestein delivered one of the most impressive wins of the tournament, defeating Trond Remøy-Moen in Round 7. That result helped secure a 12th place finish overall in a 39-player field, and also the BEST FEMALE PLAYER prize — an exceptional achievement.
And finally, a last message from us to a dear FUZZSJAKK friend.
Gleb Koshelevskii has been part of FUZZSJAKK for exactly two years, joining us at the season opener in January 2024 at BROR. Since then, he has missed only 3 out of 18 tournaments — an incredible level of commitment.
As Gleb now moves to Oslo, we’re not just saying goodbye to a loyal player, but to a genuinely great person who always showed up with calmness, passion, and joy for the game.
You will truly be missed, Gleb.
Thank you for everything — and best of luck on your next chapter. ♟️💙
This was not a standalone event.
FUZZ BLITZ LOUNGE is a four-tournament league, and this was the opening chapter.
FUZZ BLITZ LOUNGE returns every month at the end of the month at Trondheim Spektrum — and tickets for the entire spring are already available.
If this first night is any indication, the season ahead is going to be special.
Thank you to everyone who played, supported, and helped build this with us.
This was, without question, the best tournament we’ve hosted so far.
You can already sign up at FUZZBETA.
See you at the next FUZZ BLITZ LOUNGE.
