FUZZSJAKK invites you to the second FUZZ BLITZ LOUNGE-tournament of the year.
WHEN
Friday, February 27 | 18:00–22:00
FORMAT
8 rounds — 5 min + 2sec
RATING
OPEN (0-2999)
DJ JONAS S
Playing at 18:00 — Deephouse / Organic House
FUZZ BLITZ LOUNGE is more than a chess tournament.
This is where social chess meets lounge energy and electronic music, in a space that feels more like an afterwork than a traditional tournament hall.
A DJ will be playing deephouse/organic house, the lights usually dimmed and chill — and right in the middle of it all, real competitive blitz chess is being played.
The tournament takes place in the venue, but everyone is welcome.
You can come to play, or simply to hang out, enjoy a drink, follow the games, and be part of the room. Spectators enter for free and are a natural part of the experience.
FUZZ BLITZ LOUNGE is designed for both beginners and experienced players.
You’ll face opponents at your level, with no requirement for tournament experience. This is low pressure, high comfort — a place where it feels just as natural to play a game of chess as it does to strike up a conversation with the person next to you.
Think lounge first.
Chess at the heart.
Good music, good drinks, youre welcome to have good conversations — and a tournament that lives in the room.
The tournament is played individually, and everyone competes in the same event.
However, prizes are awarded in multiple categories, so you don’t need to win the entire tournament to win something.
We award prizes to:
TOP 2
Overall winners of the tournament
BEST CHALLENGER
(rating 1000–1599)
BEST BEGINNER
(rating 0–999)
BEST FEMALE PLAYER
This means:
Beginners and new players compete on their own level
Lower-rated players have real chances to win prizes
Couples have an extra prize to play for, without changing how the tournament is played
We use our own web app, FUZZBETA, to run our tournaments.
This is where pairings, rounds, and results are handled. The platform is free to use.
