..this time in collaboration with UKA and Trondheim Spektrum
On October 11th, FUZZSJAKK joins forces with UKA and Trondheim Spektrum to host this year’s Chessrave in E-hallen at Spektrum, with room for 1,000 people.
This edition takes inspiration from the Boiler Room format, kicking off with two dreamy and euphoric chess tournaments as the pre-party, before transforming into a full-scale Chessrave afterparty.
The evening contains of two parts: Boiler Chess tournaments with two live DJs (Boiler Room style), followed by a rave-driven afterparty – CHESSRAVE.
Expect a hypnotic atmosphere throughout the evening: DJs in the middle of the room, live chess battles, plenty of prizes, a midnight bullet-tournament, and a full-on CHESSRAVE soundtracked by Space Disco, Electronica, House and Techno/Hard Groove.

16:00 – 20:00 / BOILER CHESS – Tournament ticket
20:00 – 02:00 / CHESSRAVE – Rave ticket
The FULL PAKKE – ticket is everything included.
What is boiler room
Boiler Room is a music concept born in London, where DJs play surrounded by the crowd instead of on a traditional stage. The audience is part of the performance – creating an atmosphere that’s raw, intimate, and high-energy.

The night opens with two high-energy tournaments that feel more like a club night than a chess event.
TWO PARALELL BLITZ TOURNAMENTS
– Boiler Superblitz (9 rounds, open for all levels)
– Boiler BeginnerBlitz (7 rounds, for players rated under 1000 or new to tournament chess).
A DJ booth in true Boiler Room style sets the tone with some groovy disco, before we enter some dreamy melodic house and organic grooves — Ben Böhmer-type soundscapes, slowly building energy as the night approaches.
Top games from Boiler Superblitz will be played live on elevated chess stages, backed by LED lights and projected on large screens for all to follow. Prizes will be awarded in multiple categories, also in the Beginner-tournament there will be different classes.

Play Bullet (2+1) on DGT electronic boards—live on stage—while DJs Andre Lanza & Pedro Sanmartin drive the night with escalating House, Techno & Hard-Groove sets. All games streamed in real time on giant LED walls with a VJ adding a rave-style visual twist.
