After several months of planning the CHESSRAVE at Trondheim Spektrum, it was nothing short of magical to finally see it come to life inside Trondheim Spektrum.
This edition of CHESSRAVE was inspired by Boiler Room and featured two different tournaments:
BOILER SUPERBLITZ — Open tournament for players of all levels.
BOILER BEGINNERBLITZ — A dedicated bracket for players rated under 1000.

More than 100 players joined the BOILER SUPERBLITZ, making it the second-largest blitz tournament in FUZZSJAKK history — just behind the legendary CHESSRAVE at K-U-K with 118 participants.
The night kicked off with energy and a few early complications — but we pushed through, and thanks to everyone’s patience, the familiar FUZZSJAKK vibe soon took over: music, drinks, good people, and energetic chess. The tournament was played in a 3+2 time format, setting the stage for high-tempo games and intense battles across the hall.
Top players like IM Jens E Ingebretsen, IM Ludvig Carlsson, FM Sondre Melaa, and FM Gunnar Lund joined the fight — and we’re deeply grateful to have so many titled players participating and helping to make the level of play truly world-class.
A special highlight was the return of CM Witty Alien, who came all the way from Bulgaria to play. This was his second FUZZSJAKK tournament, after making a strong debut at CHESSRAVE 2024 at HAVET, where he finished 10th out of 72 players with 5/7. This time, he delivered another excellent performance, finishing 11th with 6/8 points. Having him back in Trondheim meant a lot — and we’re truly thankful for his support and presence.
Another standout moment was Livia Lindstad’s incredible run, finishing 8th with 6 points — setting a new FUZZSJAKK record for the best female result in a Superblitz event, surpassing Anna Cramling’s 5.5 points from last year’s Chessrave.
Behind the booth, DJ Assios — known as Magnus Carlsen’s personal DJ — delivered a beautiful, melodic house set, with plenty of Ben Böhmer vibes, creating a warm and immersive atmosphere around the boards. Later, Vetle took over and kept the groove going with disco and house, making the venue pulse in perfect sync with the games.
We also want to give a big thank you to UKA for providing amazing volunteers who helped make the event run smoothly. Their contribution was crucial in keeping everything flowing — from registration to the final round.
BOILER SUPERBLITZ once again showed why FUZZSJAKK isn’t just a tournament — it’s a vibe, a community, and a movement.
Ludvig Carlsson (born 2003) is a Swedish International Master (IM) with a peak FIDE rating of 2423. Known for his sharp and dynamic playing style, he’s an established tournament competitor on the Scandinavian chess scene and represents Sweden internationally.
At CHESSRAVE 2025, the level was incredibly strong, with titled players like FM Gunnar Lund, FM André Nielsen, IM Jens E. Ingebretsen, CM Witty Alien, and many others in the field.
In this stacked tournament, Ludvig delivered a perfect performance — scoring 8/8 points, defeating top players such as CM Tobias Lang Nilsen, FM Gunnar Lund, and IM Jens E. Ingebretsen along the way.
It was a truly dominant run that left no doubt: Ludvig Carlsson was the clear and undisputed winner of the tournament.
𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗱 (born 2006) is a rising Norwegian chess talent with a peak 𝗙𝗜𝗗𝗘 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟴. She started playing at the age of eight, represents Nordstrand Chess Club, and trained at the Norwegian College of Elite Sport (NTG).
She’s a Norwegian Girls Champion and part of the national chess community.
At 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗥𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, Livia made her 𝗙𝗨𝗭𝗭𝗦𝗝𝗔𝗞𝗞 debut — and delivered a brilliant performance: 6/8 points, finishing 8th out of 103 players at the 𝗕𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗭.
This marks the best female result ever in nearly four years of the FUZZSJAKK community — surpassing the 2024 performance of 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴, who scored 5.5/7 at the previous 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗥𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 at HAVET ARENA.
For her achievement, Livia received the Best Female Player Award and a brand new DGT1500 Digital Clock by DGT.
Breakout Performance: Aron Sørensen
One of the biggest surprises of the BOILER SUPERBLITZ came from Aron Sørensen, who delivered an absolutely brilliant performance. Starting with a rating of 1300, he climbed to 1396, making a +96 rating jump — the biggest of the entire Superblitz field.
Aron’s run was nothing short of impressive: He defeated Julian Moe (1750) in the very first round — a FUZZSJAKK debutant with strong credentials.
In round 5, he took down Jo Vegard Molvik (1616).
And in round 7, he scored a statement win against Håkon Groven, a FUZZSJAKK veteran with a 2000 starting rating.
Aron finished the tournament with 5 points and claimed 2nd place in the Challenger Class (1000–1599) — a massive performance that made him one of the freshest and most exciting stories of the night.
